Ferdinand, Ivan, Ksenia und Max from the Theresianum Vienna for the Aviation Special Prize in the 2024/25 school year with their analysis of Austrian Airlines – and were selected as the winning team! The prize? An exclusive day at Lufthansa in Frankfurt. At the Lufthansa Aviation Center, the team had the opportunity to present their work to top-level Lufthansa representatives and Annette Mann, CEO of Austrian Airlines. After a shared lunch overlooking the departing planes at Frankfurt Airport, the team also had the chance to visit Lufthansa’s maintenance hangars. There, they gained fascinating insights into the maintenance and repair work on Lufthansa's fleet.

This school year, there are three exciting Phase I special prizes to be won. Teams can apply in the project community platform until 1 December 2025 with their analyses of aviation companies (Lufthansa Special Prize), industrial companies (Evonik Special Prize – German schools only) or social companies (SOS Kinderdorf Special Prize - German schools only).
