Network for Life: business@school Celebrates Its 25th Anniversary

Since 1998, business@school, the educational initiative of Boston Consulting Group (BCG), has been providing students with insights into the world of business as well as key skills for their future professional life and awakens their entrepreneurial spirit.

Launched 25 years ago at two pilot schools in Daun (Eifel) and Hockenheim, Germany, the initiative now involves over 1,000 senior high school students as participants each year, along with 150 motivated teachers, at approximately 70 schools in Germany, Austria, Italy, the United Kingdom, Albania, and Switzerland. Participating students and teachers are supported by roughly 400 professionals from more than 20 partner companies and BCG who volunteer as coaches. One thing quickly becomes clear: For those involved in the project, business@school is far more than just a special project year. Students, alumni, teachers, schools, coaches, partner companies, the business@school team, and the advisory board form a network for life.

In June 2023, the 25th winning team will be selected at the grand business@school finale in Munich. Until then, we’re publishing 25 stories from 25 years of business@school: profiles of original members, memories of milestones, and stories of great business ideas and start-ups from the network for life.
